In preparation for his role as The Joker, Heath Ledger hid away in a motel room for about six weeks. During this extended stay of seclusion, Ledger delved deep into the psychology of the character. He devoted himself to developing The Joker’s every tic, namely the voice and that sadistic-sounding laugh.

It’s a five-day weekend, I figured I’d have fun with it. And I do miss writing. My Tumblr Ask is enabled (and so is anonymity, for once), but only for this purpose. Leave a name in my Ask box and I’ll tell a story about someone in my life who has that name. (Obviously if there’s no one in my life—real or fictional—who does, chances are, I’ll skip it.) I won’t answer any questions or anything else. (Though I promise I read all the notes—or as Tumblr likes to call ‘em, “fan mail”—that you send, and appreciate it very much!)
Like, seriously, I remember writing tons of obscenely angsty journal entries about how depressed I was and how I wanted to die, and I find it funny (in the way that we do once we’re a little more grown and can see ourselves more clearly—with a healthy mix of embarrassment and humor), but more sad…
And you’re sweet! Thank you for backreading! :D And for still considering me as a potential friend after everything you’ve read here teehee <3

when I miss you, I…
…run in circles. walk back and forth. toss paper planes in the air. play with the curtains using my feet. play our song. tap my fingers against a surface. stare at the ceiling and think about you. All day.
